Leading with Fierce Love and Creativity on a Transitioning Planet

The image of this tree in the Casa Flora Maria garden, adorned with red glass hearts, symbolizes our shared heartspace — a commitment to nurturing love, courage, and creativity in times of global upheaval.

It's here, in the embrace of nature and the warmth of our community, that we seek to expand the transformative power of Flow states.

A Stellar Gathering:

Uniting Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter

in Gemini for Unparalleled Creative Flow

Gemini’s Stellar Gathering:

Uniting Sun, Mercury, Venus, and Jupiter for Unparalleled Creative Flow

During the time of our retreat, Jupiter will have just moved into Gemini for the first time in 12 years, heralding a period of expanded thought and enhanced communication, perfectly aligning with Gemini's essence of intellectual exploration, versatility, and the exchange of ideas. This celestial shift calls creators and writers to step forward, sharing their thought leadership and innovative visions.

The day we begin our retreat, the moon will enter the creative and sacred fire sign of Leo, igniting our passions and expressive potential. Simultaneously, the Sun — our source creativity, Mercury — our conduit of perception and understanding, and Venus — our magnet for connection and attraction, will also be converging in Gemini, magnifying the energies of articulation, curiosity, and adaptability.

Even if you're not proficient in astrology, this confluence signifies that mid-June is an exceptionally potent time for articulating your visions and claim your thought leadership through your writing. The astrological conditions are ripe for profound revelations and the crystallization of ideas.

In the heart of Gemini season, we are invited to embrace the dualities of existence. These Flow states — readily accessible during our retreat — are not just moments of peak creativity; they will be our portals to reimagining our existence and culture-making new ways of being, essential tools for weaving words, and weaving new worlds.

without burnout or losing momentum.

Two things are simultaneously true. I am utterly bereft of the genocide. And I am determined to plant 🍉 seeds in writing and the creative process to draw out the courage we need to create better thought leadership.

In an time exponentially marked by resilience stacking changes and challenges, the need for spaces where we can explore, create, and connect on a profound level has never been more critical.

This retreat is our collective answer to the call to create better thought leadership that leads to vital action.

This retreat isn't an escape; it's a deep dive into the practices that sustain us as writers, creators, leaders, and culture-makers. By fostering and learning how to integrate Flow into our work more consistently, we open ourselves to the possibilities that emerge from complexity, turning our current crises and challenges into the very fuel that powers our creative journey.

Weaving Words, Weaving Worlds:

Creativity Amidst the Mayan Highlands

Weaving Words,

Weaving Worlds: Creativity Amidst the Mayan Highlands

In the heart of the Chiapas Mayan highlands...

the lands of the Winik Atel (Tzeltal) and Batsil Winik’ Otik (Tzotzil), where the Zapatista movement continues its profound struggle for autonomy and land.

This land, steeped in resistance and resilience, offers a unique backdrop for our collective exploration of creativity as a form of restoration and reclamation.

Join us in at the edge of the Lacandon Jungle, where the ancient and the contemporary converge, inspiring us to

weave our words into new worlds

, in solidarity with the enduring spirit of the Mayan people and the land that cradles their visions and dreams.

A Glimpse into Our Journey Together This June

Amidst the sweeping views of the forest highland jungle of Casa Flora Maria, we find not just a backdrop but a source of inspiration, a reminder of the resilience and beauty that thrives in complexity.

Over six days, you’ll immerse yourself in daily teachings and plenty of reflective space to help you nurture your creative work. Together we’ll weave together our individual threads, crafting a tapestry of ideas, stories, and visions for a world reimagined.

We'll explore how creativity can be a form of resistance, a way to hold space for complexity while envisioning paths forward. Your voice, your story, and your vision are critical threads in this ever-evolving tapestry. Let's gather in Chiapas to celebrate, create, and transform.

Holding Space for Emergent Writing and Culture-Making:
Dive deep into workshops with me, Ixchel Lunar each morning. We'll explore the weavings of writing rituals, creativity practices, Flow, and the decolonization of time, all while nurturing the courage to envision and create a better world. Afternoons and evenings will be space for writing in Flow.

Connecting with Nature and Heritage:
Beyond the workshops, experience the breathtaking beauty of Chiapas through an artisan studio tour, connecting you with the local culture and inspiring your creative work. We’ll end the week with a delightful dinner in the heart of the city.

Creating an Inclusive Community:
Share this journey with a diverse group of FLINTA* creatives and leaders (*Females/Femmes, Lesbians, Intersex, Nonbinary, Trans and Agender.). Come together in a space where every voice contributes to our collective narrative, shaping a future informed by our diverse experiences and shared commitment to growth. Each bringing your unique voices and visions to the collective table, together, we'll create a tapestry of stories and ideas.

Scholarship and Work Study Opportunity:
Recognizing the barriers that may prevent talented individuals from joining us, we're offering a BIPOC scholarship (based on need and project scope), affirming our dedication to inclusivity and mutual support.

There may also be a work study opportunity for an aligned-fit person.
This initiative reflects our core values and the belief that financial constraints should not hinder participation in transformative experiences.
